Description |
F medium was formulated by King, Ward and Raney in 1954 to enhance green fluorescent pigment (pioverdine) production by Pseudomonas fluorescens and Ps.aeruginosa, in which pyocyanine production is restricted. Green-yellowish pigments, soluble and from fluorescent type, define the Pseudomonas group I according to the 9th. edition of Bergey’s Manual of Systematic Bacteriology, and therefore, detection of its productive
