Description |
Azide Dextrose Broth is formulated according to the “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater”. Azide concentration in the medium restrains the growth of gramnegative bacteria and lets a good growth of enterococci. This medium composition is very similar to the Azide Dextrose Broth acc. to Rothe (Ref. 02-027), but without phosphate buffering. Therefore, it is advisable to use this medium with samples with a high salts concentration, to avoid any precipitation in the medium. |
